    I was asked if I could make a chess set that would be suitable for people with specific behaviours so as they would be totaly soft so as not to cause harm if thrown. I found a pattern off the internet and made changes so each figure was knitted in one piece where possible and there was no solid base inserted. It proved to be the most tedious thing I have done so I decided to buy a vinyl chess board and not knit one.
