    About

Not made this one before it's very easy to knit and I know I'll be making more in different fleece and face colours. I'm not too sure about the eyes though I used the size recommended but think smaller ones may have looked better. Also thought the face was a bit bare which made the eyes look even bigger so I added the cheeks, nose and eyebrows. I loved how it looked on the pattern so maybe a different yarn for the face would work better.

Your Sawyer the sheep is adorable Christine, & the face on your sheep is so much better than the one on the pattern

Lovely sheep. I think the eyes look good, and I prefer the face on your sheep to the original pattern, especially the little pink nose, very cute.

I love the face you've created, Christine! 💕 You've given a simple pattern real character. I've made quite a few 'My first sheep' and they sold in no time. Now you've tempted me to revisit! I need a few more hours in the day 🤣

Thanks Sue, I know exactly what you mean. I'm obsessed with finding the perfect sheep pattern so I'm always trying different ones. I'd ruled this one out but I'm having second thoughts now as it's very well liked by everyone. It's a very easy pattern so I think I'll see if I can making it sitting as I really love the feet.

@Sue C: Now that would be scary I can manage a few simple alterations but I am in total awe of pattern designers especially Claire Garland. I've made so many of hers and I still don't understand how they work out 🤣

@Christine R: I know what you mean, Christine, it's fascinating to see CG patterns take shape as you knit them. I think you go way beyond simple alterations! 💕 Love your work 😍
