Inspired by the famous yellow Checker Cabs of American cities, Taxi! Booties combine cables and intriguing construction techniques. These are knit both in the round and flat – the cabled cuff “tire” is knit sideways and joined on to the snug-fitting inner cuff as you work. There are five sizes to fit newborns to toddlers. Taxi! Booties make perfect birthday, shower, and holiday gifts.
Gauge: Gauge is not critical, but it will affect the finished size of the booties. You are aiming for a fairly dense, rather than a loose, knitted fabric. Approx. 32 sts = 4” | 10 cm in stockinette stitch.
