Cookie Monster and Gonger are my original designs that I created based on the characters from Sesame Street. These patterns are purely fan art (flattery in its highest form), and are in no way associated with the TV series. Cookie Monster is a classic all on his own, and Gonger is best known as Cookie Monster’s sensible chef sidekick in their Monster Foodies cooking show.
You should feel comfortable making amigurumi toys to complete them successfully. Gonger is a little more finicky than Cookie Monster, but don't let that scare you if you don't consider yourself seasoned--just take your time and enjoy the process!. They are both crocheted in rounds in several pieces, then sewn together. You'l need significantly less than a 3.5-oz skein of yarn for each color (pink, blue, black, white, tan, dark brown, light blue). In fact, you may already have what you need in your stash!
