Product Details
Have fun with this stylish poncho, knit in mainly stockinette stitch with a dramatic cabled border, knit-in fringe and a cozy collar that can button up as a cowl.
Potawatomi is knit flat in one piece from ribbed end to ribbed end with a shaped neckline. Thanks to the fringed edging, every row is worked as a right side row, making the stockinette portion purl free! (Also included: a second version with a more traditional back and forth approach.)
Finished size: After seaming, fabric forms a folded rectangle 24" by 27" which includes a 3" knotted fringe. Cowl / collar measures 24" around (buttoned) and 6-1⁄2" deep. Size can be easily modified; guidance for mods on page 2.
Gauge: 17 sts and 25 rows = 4" in St st.
Techniques used: Cables, reading charts optional, pick up and knit.
Pattern includes: Written instructions, schematic, glossary, cable patterns in both charted and written formats, guidance for size modifications.
