Product Details
The classic Mexican blanket, also known as a sarape, has been used in Mexican culture for centuries as a blanket, wall covering, table cloth, rug, and poncho. While the rebozo is considered a women’s accessory, the sarape has traditionally been worn by men. This knit blanket has been inspired by the iconic striped and geometric patterns symbolic of the blankets in today’s culture.
This pattern is part of the “Purposeful Patterns” initiative - a series of designs benefiting a variety of causes. $1 from the sale of each Mexican Blanket pattern will be donated to the Mexico earthquake initiative of Direct Relief, dedicated to improving the health and lives of people affected by poverty and emergencies.
