This pattern is for a sweet blanket reminiscent of cupcakes, hence its ‘Icing on the Cake’ name!
This version is written in UK terms (it is also available in US terms - please see my other patterns)
The design includes a variety of stitches, including shells, and bobble stiches made on a contrasting colour background. The pattern creates pretty colourful stripes, making a fun and eye-catching blanket.
The instructions are for a baby blanket size (approx. 69 x 83 cm / 27 x 33 inches) but included is the formula you'll need for increasing the foundation chain if you wish to make a wider blanket.

You will need:
~ DK weight yarn in 5 colours, x1 100g skein of each
~ 4mm hook

~ photo tutorial which demonstrates how to make the contrasting bobble stitches
Tension is not critical for this project but will affect the finished size of the blanket and how much yarn is used.
