The Story Behind Happy Hops... and the Ducklings
I love reading and creating my own stories, which is why I wrote the book Who Wants Happy Hops’s Toothbrush?
In the story, our fluffy bunny friend Happy Hops tries to give away his toothbrush – because brushing tickles! One by one, he offers it to different animals he meets, hoping someone else will want it.
And guess what? That includes a whole row of cute ducklings!
Duckling is soft, sweet, and very determined… but definitely not in need of a toothbrush.
No teeth - just fluff. And lot of splashing around!
I thought it would be a fun idea to crochet Happy Hops and the other characters from the book so that kids who read the story can hold the magic in their hands. It’s a way to bring the story to life – one stitch at a time.

- Use a single strand of fingering weight yarn for the body. If your yarn is on the lighter side, just hold three strands together. It will fix it!
