Product Details
The Check Mate Socks are worked in a lace pattern which gives a chequered impression. The stitch pattern is an easily memorized repeated lace pattern to resemble a chessboard.
They are worked from the toe up, and finished with a cuff and picot bind off which are a flirt with the shape of a chess rook, or even the King.
Materials Yarn: 100 g Fru Valborg Merino Swirl (80% merino superwash, 20% polyamide, 365 m / 100 g) or equivalent Needles and notions: Double pointed needles size 2.5 mm or US 1½, 2 stitch markers Gauge: 32 stitches / 42 rounds in Stockinette stitch = 10cm or 4 inches
