Product Details
The intricate detail on this hat comes from the St John’s Wort lace pattern, which uses a multiple of six stitches over a four row repeat. When I first saw this I thought it would be perfect for those slightly warmer days when you don’t need the cosy feeling of a chunky knit, but still need a little something!
I’ve used Shetland Spindrift because the colours were so fresh and inviting, and I enjoy knitting with 100% wool. Don’t fret however, this pattern works quite well with most DK yarn – I’ve got one made from Robin DK too.
The stitches used in this pattern are: knit, purl, s1, yo, psso, k2tog, p2tog – all abbreviations are explained in the pattern.
I hope you enjoy knitting your Spring Lace hat! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email me at gemdavisdesign@gmail.com, or you can find me on twitter at @gemdavis_
