Product Details

A hand-painted yarn can look superb in a textured pattern. The trick is to pair the correct texture with the color. The reverse stockinette body is actually worked wrong side out so that you’re knitting every round in the large areas. The body is worked in the round to the armholes, then divided to work the front and back separately. The sleeves are also worked in the round to the armhole, then the cap worked back and forth. The only seams are the armholes. You can always choose to use the knit side as the right side, but every once in a while it’s fun to change things up. The simple texture on the yoke is reminiscent of a mountain range, and works up quickly. Even though this pattern is listed as for an Intermediate skill level, if you’ve only been knitting from Easy patterns but want to up your skill level, try this one.

You can substitute Dream in Color Classy, Valley Yarns Amherst, Imperial Yarn Willamette, or Imperial Yarn Erin for the Oink Worsted
