Low-Key Cowl is a 1 skein worsted-weight neckwarmer featuring a split hem and garter ridges, inspired by the construction of my [Low-key vest][1]. If you have never worked a split hem before, this is a great opportunity to try it out! Plus I have a [new video tutorial][2] that shows you how to work the joining row (which creates the split hem), so if you've never worked this technique before, don't worry - I walk you through the whole process!
This cowl uses just 1 skein of worsted-weight yarn, shown in the beautiful Malabrigo Rios. It’s also a great project to use up stash yarn – you can use multiple colors and just have fun! This pattern is a great beginner-friendly design where you just work simple stitches, but at the same time you create this cool split hem effect that gives it a fun, modern twist.
