Using a design based on double crochets and spaces, you can be on your way to a completed 68x50" afghan in no time! Although it's labeled a beginner crochet pattern, even seasoned crocheters can enjoy this pattern for its ease of execution.
This afghan requires approx. 2350 yards of a worsted weight acrylic. (The yarn featured is Mainstays Basic in color Royal Blue.) Other necessary items are a J-10.0/6.00mm hook, scissors, and a tapestry needle.
This pattern is easy to follow, quick to pick up, and designed to give you a chic and classic finished piece while helping you practice and perfect your tension and basic techniques. My hope is that by the time you're done with your afghan, the feel of these stitches will become second nature and you'll have the confidence to continue to build your skills.
