Product Details
The filigree pattern of “Highland Symphony” is inspired by historical embroideries from Asia Minor and the color mood of the Scottish Highlands. I used the Fair Isle knitting technique and individual colors that blend into each other in an interesting way.
Overview: The shawl “Highland Symphony” is worked flat (not in the round) as one piece, from the bottom up. You start with a bottom edge, knit the multicolored pattern section according to the charts and finish with a top edge. Finally, crochet 1 row over each of the short ends and attach the fringes.
Used Yarn: 600 g Jamieson´s of Shetland - Spindrift (105 m/ 25 g) - 24 skeins à 25 g - 10 different colors
Skill level: for advanced knitters
Contents: The pattern contains nice photos, detailed preparation information, a knitting technique photo-tutorial, step-by-step knitting instructions and clear colored charts. (This pattern is only charted, not written).
The chart pages are spread over different sheets and must be glued toge
