Fremont Johnny Hat

Anyone up for a stashbuster? How about a way to use up those cute mini skeins? The Fremont Johnny hat is a fun and fast colorwork hat in toddler to adult sizes, with options for standard beanie and slouch fits. The pattern is written for five colors, but could easily be worked with more or fewer...there's room to be creative!

This hat is worked from the bottom up in the round, starting with 1x1 ribbing. From there you will knit stockinette throughout, and the colorwork continues all the way to the top while decreases are worked for the crown.

This pattern includes helpful tips for colorwork knitting if you are a beginner, as well as advice for finding your perfect fit. The pattern also includes a coloring sheet with a blank chart to help plan your color palette.
