There is nothing that I love more than a making a multi-functional piece – the winter work-horse! Not only is this wrap/shawl multi-functional, but I also chose a stitch pattern that looks beautiful on both the front and back sides of the piece. No shawl should ever have a ‘wrong’ side that you want to keep hidden!
I would rate the difficulty of this pattern as 'Advanced Beginner'. It only uses Knit and Purls sts, but does require you to do increasing, slipped stitches and one little decrease.
Another this that makes this pattern beginner-friendly is that you can use just about any weight yarn you want. You just need to decide if you want it to be more like a cowl (‘heavier’ yarn like worsted or aran weight) or something more delicate and light weight (fingering or lace weight yarns). Once you have your yarn weight figured out, choose your needle size and off you go!
