Canyon Road is named after the road in Santa Fe chock full of sculpture gardens and galleries with New Mexican art.
Background on the inspiration: I was given a small Acoma pot by a dear patient from the pueblo when I was working and living in New Mexico. It has been displayed on my dressing table for years and the black and white just knit itself into this sweater. Although I now live in Rhode Island, I will never forget the beautiful southwest with the rich culture. ( And note that my sample is long because my torso is long...you can make it your own length!)
"Canyon Road" is written to have 2" of positive ease. Two pretty lace panels separate areas of stranded knitting for a unique yoke with scalloped accents. This is a fairly fast sweater to knit, with subtle side seams and a casual fit.
