After purchasing this kit, I starting working on a different kit from this manufacturer and was having trouble placing stitches on its darker color background, and thus I decided to return this kit as soon as I received it. I've worked other lighter color backgrounds without a problem. My method is to stitch the colors first, and then fill in the rest with the background color. The rating is based on other other tapestry kits from this manufacturer.
