This is Aspen Hill, a super bulky hat that uses two types of cables to create an intricate design.
Yarn choice is very important for this hat. Many yarns labeled as “super bulky” are closer to bulky when worked in this pattern. Check your gauge before you start.
Gauge is 3” x 3” = 12 sts x 12 rows in K1P1 using US 10.5.
Yarns that I know work well with this pattern are Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick and Knit Picks Tuff Puff. I haven’t tried Malabrigo Rasta yet.
