Product Details
This cute sheep themed hat has a ribbed welt and a stocking stitch body with a Fair Isle (stranded) sheep repeat pattern encircling the lower section of the hat body. The sheep motifs are worked using only two colours in a row which makes this an ideal pattern for those new to Fair Isle. The hats pictured are worked using a lovely soft wool silk mix yarn in DK/light worsted weight and are topped with an optional pompom.
The pattern covers sizes from baby to adult and the instructions are written for both knitting flat on two needles with a seam at the back, or in the round using a circular needle with no seaming necessary. (You may, therefore, only wish to print the appropriate pages for your project.)
I have linked the yarns I used to make up the pictured sample hats, however you will only need two colours to make a hat!
