Wild Island Textured Toques

This pattern is an updated and improved version of both my Wizard and Sherpa Hat patterns. In this pattern, I've added texture, improved sizing, and tested the design on a number of different of different yarns to see how it worked.

I used the following yarns as a test, and while they are all very different, all of the hats definitely "worked". Great sizing, wonderful feel.

Alafoss Lopi made a very light, delicate, and pretty hat, while the Caron Chunky Cupcakes created a hat that was super stretchy, light, and a delight to wear. My favourite materials were the Loops & Threads Impressions, and the Caron Spice Cakes, but all were very fun to make.

This pattern is medium difficulty, as it is knit in the round, using only knit and purl stitches.

The yardage for each hat depends on both size and shape. A newborn sized Sherpa Hat (25 yds) uses much less yarn than an adult Wizard Hat. (130 yds)
