Product Details
This stole/shawl is made using a brioche ribbing stitch combined with a brioche cable. The result is not only a very pretty shawl, but also a very warm one. It’s perfect for fall evenings.Brioche stitches tend to havea dimensionality not found in other knitting stitches. Therefore, this shawl feels as good as it looks. For anyone familiar with brioche knitting, it is a fairly quick knit.
This pattern is both charted and written out line by line. The pattern contains instructions for a unique self-edge that gives a professional finish to the garment.
Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of knitting, slipped stitches, and cabling, as well as a good working knowledge of brioche knitting). Note: If you haven’t done any brioche knitting, this is probably not the pattern for you.
The sample was made using Lorna's Laces Sportmate, but any sport weight yarn, yielding 6 stitches/inch will work for this pattern.
