MATERIALS: Yarn: DK/ worsted weight yarn (size 3/4) Small square: 3 colors needed. Color A: 8.7 yds/8 m, Color B: 11 yds/10 m, Color C: 6.5 yds/6 m. Larger square: Add Color D: 6.5 yds/6 m (total of 4 colors). You'll need 3-4 squares, or more, depending on your bag style.
Hook size: 3.0mm/3.5mm (Start with the hook size recommended on the yarn label) Scissors Stitch marker Tape measure
For the bag, you will also need: 1 button (optional) 1 name tag (optional) 2 swivel clasps/keychains 1 zipper (optional)
GAUGE: based on DK yarn: 5cm x 5cm (10sc x 10 rows). This gauge swatch is not essential, your square size will depend on your yarn and hook size.
