Product Details
Several people told me that the hat looked like a sea urchin, but that name has been used many times before. Thanks to one of my testers who came up with the suggestion of Sea Hedgehog. This is an old name for a sea urchin, the word urchin being derived from the Latin for hedgehog.
This is a fun to knit hat, playing with colours in a simple ribbed design. You will need 50-130 yards in the MC and 15-30 yards in each of 2 contrast colours. Alternatively use it as a real stash buster with more CCs or use a wildly variegated yarn as a single CC that has been waiting for the perfect project.
It is stretchy and meant to be worn with 2-4”/5-10 cm of negative ease to fit snugly, sitting just above the bottom of the earlobes.
