Get into the holiday spirit with this fun Santa Hat and Beard. Both pieces are very quick and easy to crochet and you will only need a 2 oz skein (50 g ball) in each color to complete.
The Santa Hat measures approximately 20 inches (51 cm) in circumference around the base and will stretch to up to about 28 inches (71 cm) so it will fit a broad range of sizes. The length of the hat is approximately 20 inches (51 cm) from the base of the hat to the tip of the pompom.
The beard is not joined to the hat - it has loops at each end which fit around the wearer’s ears - and is made using a double loop stitch (also known as fur stitch). I have included instructions for making the double loop stitch and whilst it may look complicated it is actually a fun stitch to make and is easy to learn.
