The striking lace motif, highlighted in the corner of this shawl, reminded me of the crown of a palm tree. So, I named this shawl Sabal. Short rows on the shorter side of the triangle slowly build the lace up to the flowers by the time they reach the palm motif.

Gauge: 24 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm in main lace pattern, blocked.Gauge: 25.5 sts and 45 rows to 4 inches/10 cm in garter stitch stripes, blocked.
Yarn: 1,060 yards/969 meters of a MCN (merino, cashmere, nylon) fingering weight yarn that knits up to 7-7.5 sts/inch in 3 colours. Colours A & B - 360 yards/329 meters of each colour, Colour C - 340 yards/311 meters.
