Plumptious Cowl

Plumptious Cowl is a warm, cosy Tunisian crochet cowl designed to make the most of beautiful chunky yarns. Using a combination of Honeycomb and Arrowhead stitches, you’ll work a simple rectangular fabric with lots of texture and squish. The rectangle is then folded and lightly stitched to create the cowl, with only a small amount of straightforward seaming needed to secure the pointed detail. Each cowl uses just two balls of chunky yarn (approximately 230 m total), making it a satisfying and relatively quick project. The sample cowls were made using King Cole Autumn Chunky and Stylecraft Carnival Tweed, both of which beautifully highlight the stitch pattern and texture.
