Orava, the Finnish word for squirrel, is a tunic for girls with an a-line hem.
The tunic is knitted from top down and mostly in the round, but during the picture, which is worked in intarsia, the work is knitted back and forth. The furry tail on the picture is duplicated afterwards.
SIZES: 90 – 100 – 110 – 120 – 130 – 140 – 150 cm
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: chest 62 – 66 – 70 – 74 – 78 – 82 – 86 cm
YARN WEIGHT: fingering (14-16 wpi)
MATERIALS: 790 – 810 – 830 – 870 – 890 – 910 – 930 m, for the picture 100 m and for the tail 5 m of furry yarn
NEEDLES: 2,5 mm (US 1.5) or a size to obtain gauge
GAUGE: 10 x 10 cm = 28 sts and 42 rows
