I wanted a shawl that had “holey bits.” That was pretty much my starting point! I love asymmetry in shawls too so I worked the two elements together. Luckily, they came together really well but I struggled with a name. Thanks to folks on the internet this shawl has a name! The name was inspired by cane work on chairs, specifically rocking chairs made from wicker. I love it!
**There is an easy pattern repeat, making this a joy to work up. This simple, elegant shawl truly comes alive when blocking, exposing the wicker effect in its full glory! **
