Needles 3.5 mm / US 4 circular needle; 80 cm / 32” or longer – Adjust cable length to fit sts comfortably. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Gauge (after blocking) 20 sts and 44 rows = 10 cm / 4” in Ridge stitch (page 4) on 3.5 mm / US 4 needle (lightly stretched at blocking) Gauge is not crucial, but the difference will affect the yardage and the finished size.
