DK knitting pattern to knit a baby cardigan and hat set.
The pattern gives instructions to knit the garments in the following sizes:
Newborn
0-3m
3-6m
The cardigan is a matinee style cardigan and fastens with two buttons down the front.
The hat is a pull - on style hat with ear flaps and optional pom poms.
To knit this set you will need 200g double knitting yarn, a pair of 3.25mm needles and a pair of 4mm needles. The garment is knitted flat on traditional single pointed needles.
I have knitted the set in the photo using *Baby Gumball yarn *by Ice yarns but James C Brett Baby Marble in shade 09 is a brilliant alternative.
This pattern was written with a baby boy in mind but could also be knitted for a girl!
