My Tie

My Tie is a simple, lacy tie pattern inspired by Edwardian women’s clothing when ties were worn with extravagant collared blouses and smart walking skirts. The simple shape is paired with a quickly memorable simple lace pattern edged on each side of the ties long edges, with a garter stitch border creating a neat, stylish edge to the tie.

The tie is knitted flat from the bottom up with the length adjustable to suit the wearer. They are each easily knittable in just a couple of evenings with minimal finishing required.

The sample is knitted in Susan Crawford Vintage Byre, a soft, fingering weight blend of Jacobs and Shetland fibres.

The pattern includes clear written instructions plus accompanying optional pattern charts, which for simplicity, has been written to show the stitches you are actually knitting rather than what the pattern will look like once knitted.
