Product Details
Mosaic knitting is an easy way to introduce fun motifs into your work, using only knit and slip stitches and with one colour in each row. I have great fun designing the charts, and this one was a fabulous challenge as the snowflake appears as if by magic while shaping the crown. I hope you enjoy knitting and wearing the Mosaic Snowflake Beret as much as I did when I designed it!
The beret is knitted flat and seamed. After the 1x1 rib band, the snowflake design is created using the mosaic knitting technique, using only one colour per row and with knit and slip stitches. The body of the beret is written out in rows while the crown is worked from a chart or written instructions. Instructions on how to work the mosaic technique from the chart are given within the pattern.
