Product Details
Mad Blood is a dramatic crescent shaped shawl positively dripping with lace, cables, beads, and nupps. This shawl is inspired simply by the gorgeous ruby red colour of a beautiful yarn – a rich blue based red with just a hint of pink. Knitsch Sock: The Mad Blood Stirreth is a yarn so rich and enticing it compels a knitted exuberance. Substitute the yarn with any solid or semi-solid fingering / 4 ply / sock yarn. You will need approx 510 metres (556 yards) of 4 ply.
The lace motifs will challenge you as they are worked on both right and wrong side rows, while cables shift the fabric in unexpected directions. Nupp flowers and lines of decreases pick out lily motifs, or is it just the way the lace falls? Add beads, or don’t add beads – the choice is yours, depending on how you like your mad blood to drip.
