Needles: US 6 (4 mm) needles.
Other: 4 stitch markers, tapestry needle, row counter (optional).
Gauge: 20 sts and 36 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch after blocking. Gauge is not crucial for this project, but changes might result in a smaller/larger shawl and different yardage requirement.
