I love Strauss's "Blue Danube". It is wonderful piece of music and I tried to capture its beauty in this doily. This design is based on Elizabeth Zimmermann’s pi shawl pattern. I found beautiful lace patterns that are multiple of the number of stitches I have in each segment to make the doily. Knit my version as practice and come up with your new designs.
