I'll admit, the first time I saw bead work I thought to myself, no way, too hard, BUT bead work is not as hard as it looks and adds jewelry right into your crochet cowl! Even my pattern testers that had never used beads all said 'that was easier than I thought!'
I've included a picture tutorial for using beads on the edging of both cowl looks.

Sewing thread and thin needle

42 Craft Beads- small and lightweight with a hole big enough for threading yarn. If using a very small bead, switch to lace weight yarn for edging. Glass beads tend to be too heavy.
Yarn:
Cascade Ultra Pima Cotton- DK Weight
Option 1- Puff Stitch: Colors Buff (main color) and Major Teal (Trim)
Option 2- Gull Stitch: Colors shown are Ice (blue) and Gold (yellow)
