Love the stitch pattern in the Forest Fern Shawl? Looking for something to do with the leftovers from an advent kit or with the mini-skeins in your stash?
The sample cowl was made with the leftovers from the Frost Fern shawl (Advent size). The short (long) version of the cowl has 12 stripes of various colours and 1 (6) stripe of the Main colour.

Gauge: 27 sts and 23 rows to 4 inches in Forest Fern pattern, strongly blocked.
Finished size (blocked): Short (Long) 15.75 (15.75)” / 40 (40) cm wide by 52 (72)” / 183 cm circumference
Yarn: 1,162 (1,512) yards/1,062 (1,383) meters of a fingering weight yarn that knits up to 7-7.5 sts/inch.
MC: 298 (648) yards/272 (593) meters CC: 864 yards/790 meters, each stripe uses 72 yards/66 meters
