Product Details

July is heating up; veggie gardens are growing by the day. Everything is green, from the leafy trees down to the grass. The ancient Celts and Anglo Saxons called July’s Moon the Herb Moon or the Hay Moon. July is peak growing season, but it also begins the time of harvest, as in haying. My sock interpretation has familiar cable motifs that are easy to work on hot summer days (in the Northern Hemisphere anyway). The back of the leg has a tidy braid and rib pattern that complements the lattice and braid panel on the front of the leg. This design represents the duality of midsummer where there is still work to be done to attend to crops that are still growing, but harvesting has begun as well.
