Product Details
Learn a new stashbusting technique with these simple but highly customisable hats. Instructions are provided for 2,3, 4 or 5 different colours and for wider stripes. You can also follow instructions for beanie or slouch options. These hats use helix knitting in the round to create jogless stripes. Add a pompom with any leftovers!
Pattern is written only (no charts). Links to tutorials for cast on method, an overview of helix knitting and other useful techniques such as quick technique for pompoms with left over yarn.
Yardages are for the whole hat as a beanie without a turned brim; allow extra for slouch or turned brim versions (you can divide this among different colours if using scraps):
0-6 months: 50m/55yds 6-18 months:60m/70yds 18 months- 4 years: 80m/90yds Age 4 - adult small: 105m/115yds Adult medium: 125m/140yds Adult large: 140m/155 yds
I used Adriafil Mirage but you could substitute any wool or acrylic dk yarn. I've listed two colours in the materials, but you can use up to 5.
