I wanted to design a shawl that would be suitable for an adventurous beginner, with enough of a challenge to keep a knitter interested and produce a visually attractive final product. This pattern, worked in two colorways, incorporates a vertical Harlequin Mosaic pattern surrounded by narrow stripes of garter stitch.
