Gudrun features a flash of granny stripes along the breadth of the shawl. This checkerboard of granny stitches sits comfortably in a sea of tidy trebles. Finished with a ribbed border, Gudrun is a sturdy triangle shawl made up in soft Merino wool with just a touch of Shetland.
Blacker Yarns Blacker Swan DK (92% Falkland Merino, 8% Shetland), 110m/120yds per 50g, 6 balls in Pale Lavender (660m / 720yd). 3.75mm (US F/5) hook.
This pattern is written in UK terms. The main body of the shawl is made sideways from point to point before adding join-as-you-go ribbing around the outside edge.
