Product Details
Animal ears on kids’ hats are catnip to me. I just can’t resist them, and neither can my daughter. This one is made using the simplest of shapes and some very basic embroidery. Extra interest (and usefulness) comes from growing a scarf out of the back of the hat, which makes getting your family out the door in winter a bit faster, and reduces the chances of losing that scarf. It also helps to ensure that little ears stay warm.
This is a fast, fun knit, with no seaming, but includes tutorials for the (so easy and useful!) Turkish cast-on, and for a neat buttonhole cast-off, to boost your skills.
Use a wool cotton blend to create warmth without itch – the gold standard for children's knits.
