Any DK or light worsted weight yarn suited to 3.5mm to 4.5mm needle gauge would be a good substitute.

It’s easy to make three pairs of these mitts from 1 x 100g ball of yarn, and due to the yarn’s variegation each mitt has a unique colour combination so mixing pairs depending on your mood and outfit adds to the allure of these pretty hand warmers.

However many you make, they are all brought together by the complimentary colored faux fur yarn trim.

The DK yarn used is sadly now discontinued but there are many suitable alternatives to choose from whether you prefer variegated, ombre, or solids.
