The strap helps hold the hat on the head on a windy day, but it is optional. Choose the basic style hat, or the “scalloped edge” hat, both hats are so stylish! A great beach hat, going for a stroll, working in your garden, or just relaxing in your backyard. You will be so cute; all your friends will want one too! Uses worsted weight size 4 yarn,( we used Premier “Fruit” yarns, knitting needles US # 7, 8, and 9.
