The inspiration for this design was my son’s girlfriend. I wanted to make her a cosy lap blanket or shawl that she could lay across her lap or wrap around her shoulders whilst on the sofa relaxing. I picked all the colours I saw her wear, guessing them to be her favourites, and finished the wrap with unicorn fringing. Because who doesn’t like unicorns!

The design is worked with Vs and Popcorn stitches, with instructions for both and photos for the popcorn stitch.
The pattern uses Paintbox Yarns in Simply Aran, 5 balls for the wrap and baby blanket, and 15 balls for the adult blanket.
The sizes are:
Wrap 60cm high x 120cm wide not including the fringing, Baby Blanket 60cm high x 70cm wide, Adult Blanket 180cm high x 120cm wide.
