Product Details
Textured with slip-stitch cables reminiscent of sparks, the Firedancer Cowl is a cozily warm accessory. It's a simple but engaging knit, ideal for both solid and lightly variegated yarns.
The cowl is rectangular, knit from short end to short end. As written, the pattern is designed for the cowl to be either styled as a loop around the neck or buttoned flat against the chest. A guide for alternative style ideas, with hand-drawn illustrations, is included at the end of the pattern with instructions for alternative buttonhole placement, etc.
The pattern uses completely written instructions; the cabled stitch pattern has both written instructions and a chart. Difficulty-wise, it should be usable for most advanced beginners comfortable with working cables.
Yarn: Approximately 120 - 150 yards / 110 - 138 meters bulky / chunky yarn, with good stitch definition for the cables. While not the yarn used in the samples, some suggestions would be Malabrigo Chunky or Mecha, or Miss Bab's K2.
