Product Details

Description: Easy and fun crochet cowl with stripes. Great project to use your scrap/leftover yarn, or advent sets.

The pattern is written for fingering weight yarn holding double, or DK/sport weight in a single strand. But it is very easy to adjust for heavier yarn, too.

The size of the cowl is easily customizable.

Skills: Basic crochet stitches (ch, sc), how to make 1 seam.

Materials:

Yarn: Fingering weight yarn holding double strands, or DK/Sport weight holding single strand, at least 2 relatively contrasting colors.

If using fingering weight: 425 yds (390 m) for MC + 425 yds (390 m) for CC.

If using DK/sport weight: 210 yds (190 m) for MC + 210 yds (190 m) for CC.

Hook: size US K (6.5 mm)

Notions: tapestry needle, scissors, blocking mat & pins

Gauge: 17 sts x 12 rows = 4x4” (10x10 cm) in Linen stitch, blocked.

The exact gauge is not crucial, but a different gauge will affect finished measurements and yarn usage.
