Product Details
In this intricate cowl the golden yarn weaves delicate, symmetrical patterns over a dark neutral background, reminiscent of golden hour light filtering through a forest canopy. Each motif is framed by bold geometric shapes that evoke both elegance and structure, while the garter stitch base adds texture and depth.
Diamond Digger cowl is worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom-up, changing color at every round. The rounds in CC are knitted and it’s where all the actions (cables etc.) happen, while the MC rounds are purled, slipping all the cable stitches that remain in CC. Using this technique is very easy, as mosaic is, but the result is a bit different because the background looks marled as in the marlisle technique. Compared to marlisle though, the cables/stitches in CC stand out more clearly from the background. This technique doesn’t need any extra finishing like a ribbed border because the fabric doesn’t roll and stays flat.
