It knits up quickly in a lace weight yarn, but can just as easily be knitted with any heavier yarn or any other holiday color, of your choosing. If you use the lace weight yarn suggested, you will find this to be a light and airy scarf, yet warm and cozy. The scarf is worked in halves, from the bottom up, and then joined in the center with the kitchener graft stitch.
